The History Of Elevator Development

The earliest appearance of similar lifts should be traced back to the ancient Chinese and European countries, where people and goods were transported vertically with tools such as Windlass. The modern lift was the product of the 19th century steam engine's invention. The first hydraulic lift was born in 1845, when the liquid used was water. In the 1853, the American Eliza Ol "Elisha Otis" invented the automatic safety device, which greatly improved the safety of the cable traction lift. March 23, 1857, a five-storey shop in New York, United States, installed the first passenger elevator using the Otis safety device. Since then, the use of elevators has been widely accepted and high-speed development. The initial lift was driven by a steam engine, so the building must be fitted with a boiler room. In the 1880, German Siemens invented the use of electric elevators, the real "elevator" officially appeared. Since then, the use of elevators has been widely accepted and high-speed development.
